For Big Imaginations – One of Europe’s largest model shops.
ModelGIANT approached Squark Design with an ambitious challenge: to transform The Engine Shed, a long-established name in the modelling world, into a bold new brand that would resonate with both existing enthusiasts and a new generation of hobbyists.
The company needed a refreshed identity, store visuals and marketing that reflected their growth and ambition while staying true to their values of expertise, friendliness and passion for modelling.
This was a pivotal project. The rebrand needed to balance heritage with modern appeal, inspire confidence in loyal customers and position the business as a leading European hub for model hobbies.
Working closely with the ModelGIANT team, I helped bring their vision to life with a design approach that was both creative and strategic. Together we developed:
– A bold and memorable new brand identity, centred on the name ModelGIANT – For Big Imaginations.
– A brand that translated across store signage, in-store branding, packaging, and marketing materials, ensuring a cohesive look and feel.
– A design style that was modern and dynamic, while still accessible to the broad community of modellers.
The rebrand launch was a success, with customers praising the fresh, modern look of the store while recognising that the friendly service and unrivalled product expertise remained unchanged.
ModelGIANT is now positioned as one of Europe’s largest model shops, with a brand that reflects its ambition and energy. Beyond being a retail destination, the store is establishing itself as a community hub for hobbyists, inspiring creativity and welcoming new generations into the world of modelling.
