BRANDING BITES

What should a brand style guide include, and why don’t we have one yet?

If your team is producing content that looks different every time, you don’t have a brand problem — you have a style guide problem. And it’s costing you consistency, credibility, and conversions.

A brand style guide is simply a rulebook that keeps everything aligned. At minimum, it should cover:

  1. Your logo and how to use it.
  2. Your colour palette with exact codes.
  3. Your fonts and hierarchy.
  4. Your imagery style — photography, icons and graphics.
  5. Your tone of voice.

Without it, everyone guesses.

Designers, marketers, even your sales team — they’re all improvising. That’s why most businesses don’t have one: they’ve been reacting instead of planning.

3 quick fixes you can implement today:

  • Lock in your brand colours and share them across the team.
  • Standardise your fonts across all channels.
  • Collect a small library of “on-brand” images so people stop pulling random stock.

If you’re tired of wasting time correcting inconsistencies and want your team pulling in the same direction, book a call with me. I’ll show you how a simple style guide can save you hours, protect your reputation and make every piece of content work harder.
